How to Enroll
ENROLLING IN THE PLAN
STUDENTS
University of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg Students
- If you are a student at the University of Manitoba or the University of Winnipeg, you will be automatically enrolled with Single coverage in the Manitoba International Students Health Insurance Plan upon registration for studies beginning in September and January. (Any other period of study follow instructions provided below for Students at Schools Other Than the University of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg).
- The premiums for this Single coverage are assessed along with your academic fees and are included in your fee statement.
- The premiums are paid to the university along with your academic fees.
If you have eligible dependants you must apply for Family coverage at the University of Manitoba's Registrar's office or University of Winnipeg's Main Campus – The International Office within 31 days of first being eligible under MISHIP. If you don't apply within 31 days for Family coverage, you will not be eligible for Family coverage later.
Students at Schools Other Than The University of Manitoba and The University of Winnipeg
- Complete a Manitoba International Students Health Insurance Application form
For a copy of the Manitoba International Students Health Insurance Application contact your school's office:
- University of Manitoba – Registrar's Office
- University of Winnipeg, Main Campus – The International Office
- Brandon University – Financial and Registration Services Office
- Red River College – International Education Office
- Other Schools – contact your school's administration office
- Return your completed application form to your school along with full payment. (Partial payments will not be accepted.)

YOUR MISHIP IDENTIFICATION CARD
Once your enrolment information or application form has been submitted to Aon Consulting it will take 7 to 10 business days to process your MISHIP Identification Card. Your card will be sent to your university/school for you to pick up.
